So after some encouragement and soul-searching, I’ve decided to try move forward with self-publishing the first installment of my Deus ex Morbus series – The Diseased.  I believe I’ll be using CreateSpace.  I intend to leave the first couple of chapters on this site along with the short stories that crop up as I begin the process of writing the next installment of the series – The Retribution.

If you’ve already started reading through the story and come across locked out chapters, please let me know in the form below and I’ll be happy to pass along the password for the chapters.  I will leave this feature open for the next month or so.

You also may note that the names of the characters have changed.  This was done intentionally.

OK… so after about a year or so of pecking away, I’m about done with the first story of this series – Deus ex Morbus.  I have one more chapter to finish up.  I also have an epilogue written if anyone wants to see where the next story is heading.  And I typed up a short story that gives a little different perspective into the Deus ex Morbus world.

I hope the last couple of chapters gave you some perspective into why I went with such a grandiose title for the series.  I hope the story lives up to the title. Anyway, if you’ve been reading, thank you.

ps… the next chapter should be pretty action packed.  also, the epilogue and short story are ready to go up as soon as i finish the last chapter.

My family opened a restaurant last month and I’ve been busy helping them with their website and facespaces and Urbanspoon type stuff.  I’m working on eleven now and should have it out soon.  Thank you to anyone who is still checking the site for new material.  It’s on it’s way and I hope to finish The Diseased in the next couple of months or so.

Waiting on some feedback to post the sixth chapter and then it’ll be up ASAP.  It’s a slow one, but I think it’ll pay off in the end.

A friend asked me how many chapters I anticipate.  I said around 15.  Then I realized that that would take more than a year from when I first started so I’m shooting for two a month now.  Around the 1st and the 15th of each month.

Visitors and views are increasing which makes me happy, so I ordered some $free.95 business cards from Vistaprint to leave laying around in coffee shops or handout to other people.  If you want to help and know how to get a hold of me, let me know and I’ll mail you a handful or give them to you next time I see you.

I may have settled into a rhythm.  Last month I was late with chapter three because I was busy with making proposal plans to pop the questions to my girlfriend.  She said yes.  Thank you, babe!  For the four or five people that might read this, I’m still shooting for around the fifteenth of each month to post new chapters.  I’m almost out of buffer chapters so I’m starting to seek out new life and new civilizations and boldly going where no Keith has gone before.

I threw up the second chapter after I realized that I was overdue for a post.  It’s about the first entirely fictional character.  So far pretty much everyone has been loosely based on or named after a friend.  I’m moving this week, but I hope to do some more writing soon and work on filling in some of the chapters I have stored up.
